It would be helpful to be able to have an option to get a submission "back" without having to re-do the whole thing or try to use a web edit to manually fix everything.
This is "kind of" an option using a mobile edit, but not really.
Being able to control which users or groups could do this would be ideal - but it would be awesome if you could go into history, choose a submission, select an option to "revise" the submission. Then sync. Then the back-end could see that option having been selected and for which submission, delete (or otherwise indicate somehow) the previous submission, and then issue a new dispatch to the same user with the same data in it - possibly with a revision number appended to the end of it or something such as that.

I agree that a 'try again' button is needed for some staff. There's no reason a current submission couldn't have a re-dispatch where the current submission's data was reloaded automatically into a new dispatch. Even more ideally, a new field would be added to the first screen in the original app indicating that it's a re-dispatch and would have a short text field for the manager to indicate the problem(s) with the original dispatch. Being able to do this on the same day of the original submission would greatly increase efficiency as well as help to teach the employee the proper information required. Possibly the app needs more clarification by the designer and the update can be pushed out the following day. It's beneficial in many ways.
From a contract standpoint, I would think there would be a problem with revising a document for which the constituent has a signed copy. Perhaps a Void / Revise would be in order where the original document would be delivered with a VOID watermark and the revised new submission templated off the original wherein minimal edits would be made to correct the original. If it was a signed docuent, then you would need a new signature of course.
Good point with regard to something like a contract. Maybe it could be an app-level option that could be turned off and on kind of like dispatch, mobile edit, etc.
There is a Copy option now in WorkFlow and Dispatch that allows a dispatch to be copied and then re-assigned.
This isn't a total answer to this, but is at least a partial workaround under certain circumstances depending on how apps / integrations are set up.
