I have an app that currently workflows to a user's manager based on the area the employee is submitting from (which is determined in the app itself). The manager then adds comments and approves, and the submission is auto emailed to a single email address.
Is there a way to send the final submission to that manager automatically?

I believe I understand what you're asking. Yes, you could definitely set up an auto email to the Manager of any area using reference data. If I did understand you correctly, then your reference data already includes each area managers email address. Please see screenshot below, this is a pretty new feature that should help with this super easily:
If you check this box it should automatically send the submission to whichever email is populated here. I checked and see that the app is set to allow users to only email submissions to themselves, so if it's the manager who is doing the final submission, they should be able to select to have a copy emailed to themselves anyway, but this way should be fool proof.
