  • Hi Julius,
You should be able to use Dependent Reference data.

Refer to our support article on how to setup dependent reference data: https://help.gocanvas.com/hc/en-us/articles/115006629447-How-to-add-dependent-Reference-Data

Within the first spreadsheet you can enter Country as Primary column then within second spreadsheet use Country  (which will have multiple Province), Province (which will have multiple cities), City (which will have multiple address) and Address.

Then configure fields with reference data in the App Builder to get desired result.

  • Hi I am using that said reference filtering but it creates conflict when I am encountering city names who are also present on other countries. Is it possible to reference in province and country ?

  • Hi Julius,

If your data is set up correctly, once you've selected the country, it should ONLY pull in the city for that particular country (even if there are multiples of that city name). You want your Province column to look at the Country column, which should prevent this duplication, then the City field looks at the Province, etc. Here's what that looks like for me:

    Does that make sense?

  • Yes, it makes sense  but it's the same thing I've done and its not working on me?

I can't find the source of the problem. Do you mind helping me out?

  • Absolutely, Julius! Before I turn this into a ticket for the Support Team, can you let me know what it's doing when you try to use it this way? That is, what happens in the App with your current set up? Also, what's the name of the App you're working on? Thanks!

  • Address filter all accounts is the name of the app. It still filters account which is not under a certain bank
