Version Reset

Answered

Is there a way to reset the version number of an App back to one?  In the building and testing of an app I made I'm all the way up to version 24.  I'd like for it to be version 1 when I roll it out.  I know I could probably copy the app, but wondered if there was a quicker way.

Thanks!

  • I haven't found a way other than to copy the app and rename accordingly.

  • Hi Chad,

As Matt said, copying the app is the way to do it.

  • So I copied the app, version reset to 1.  Edit the title so that it doesn't contain - Copy; now it wants me to publish Version 2....

  • Hi Chad, are you publishing it before you edit the name? If you leave it as new, and immediately go into the App Builder, it should stay on Version 1 when you publish that change.

Alternatively, you could create and use a template: https://help.gocanvas.com/hc/en-us/articles/115006848248-How-to-create-a-Template.

  • That's where I was going wrong, I was publishing first before editing the title.  I got it now! Thanks!
