Version Reset

Is there a way to reset the version number of an App back to one?  In the building and testing of an app I made I'm all the way up to version 24.  I'd like for it to be version 1 when I roll it out.  I know I could probably copy the app, but wondered if there was a quicker way.

  • I haven't found a way other than to copy the app and rename accordingly.

    As Matt said, copying the app is the way to do it.

    So I copied the app, version reset to 1.  Edit the title so that it doesn't contain - Copy; now it wants me to publish Version 2....

    Hi Chad, are you publishing it before you edit the name? If you leave it as new, and immediately go into the App Builder, it should stay on Version 1 when you publish that change. 

    Alternatively, you could create and use a template: https://help.gocanvas.com/hc/en-us/articles/115006848248-How-to-create-a-Template.

    That's where I was going wrong, I was publishing first before editing the title.  I got it now! Thanks!
