Hi,
I was wondering if you would be able to make it possible for us to add work orders and such to dispatch using a mobile platform rather then using the mobile phone with a desktop platform?

2024 Update:
The Community is getting cleaned up! If you are stumbling across this post after September of 2024, this is the most recent solution or answer to the request in this post.
This is not planned at this time. This post will be updated if anything changes.
However, Dispatches can be created using form-to-form dispatch via GoCanvas Integrations, similar to Nathan's solution below but using the most recent GoCanvas software recommendation.
Hi Walter,
An improved mobile web experience is in the works. You could do a work-around using a Zapier integration (something like Google Sheets, which has a mobile app) to create the Dispatch in the meantime. Basically, you'd add a row to a spreadsheet, and that would trigger the Dispatch to be created. Here's a quick explainer on using Zapier: https://help.gocanvas.com/hc/en-us/articles/115006823308.
I am also looking for a dispatch feature via the Android or iPhone GoCanvas app.
This is a bit of a workaround, but we recently built a dispatch app in GoCanvas that contains all of the fields we include in our dispatches for two of our apps, along with some reference data to save with data entry time and help with QC / data integrity. We have a Zapier integration (actually 2 that look at the same source and each talk to a different destination) that picks up submissions from the dispatch app, uses a filter on one of the source fields to determine which destination app to use and then generates dispatches in the appropriate destination app. We are still in testing, but it works fine so far and was relatively easy to make.
I'm still looking forward to a hopefully possible future web UI enhanced dispatch tool that could allow using reference data and the ability to generate 1 or ore dispatches at a time though. That would be ideal.
The GoCanvas mobile app does not allow field supervisors to allocate work loads. The web interface doesn’t allow completion of forms/approvals/signature collection. Their mindset is to have one place to conduct work and not jump between apps to complete an single transaction. Neither program is a complete package.
Currently our Field Sups have to return to the office to to manage their teams, as we have kiosk devises with only their instrument interface, GoCanvas, email, maps, camera, OneDrive and PDF reader. No Browsing - strictly a work device.
