I hate to say it, but the new Advanced Builder is a bit lacking. It has some nice features but overall, we find it more difficult to work with. Part of that is due to how much time our team has spent building forms in the Legacy Builder but one thing in particular stands out: We cannot figure out how to create NEW advanced loop screens (nested loops) in the new form builder. Forms that already have advanced loops and get upgraded to the new builder retain them but adding new advanced loops remains a mystery. How is this achieved in the new Advanced Builder? Also, is there a way to revert forms that were started in the Legacy builder but then upgraded to the Advanced builder back to the Legacy builder?

Hi Brian Garcia,
Thank you for posting to the Community! First, the new Builder experience gained full parity with the Legacy Builder last fall and does indeed support Advanced Loops, which is why you can upgrade your forms built in the Legacy Builder without losing any functionality. There is a way to "Downgrade your form" to Legacy Builder from the Form Settings page but it is not recommended because it is no longer kept up to date as it will be sunset and unavailable eventually.
As for how to build a Loop Screen in the new Advanced Form Builder experience, I have to apologize that documentation has lagged behind in this regard. I will update this post when a link to a Help article is available but in the meantime, Screens can be converted to Loops Screens from the ellipsis in the upper right corner of a screen. Click the ellipsis to expand the menu and select Convert to Loop. Tables cannot be converted to a Loop Screen from this menu, but can be converted to a Loop by changing the Style of the screen to Labels Above from the Screen Settings in the left panel.
Loop Screens were originally the only option for creating a repeating screen but Tables now fulfill those needs more often than not. Therefore, the only real reason to use a Loop Screen now is if it does need to be "advanced" in some way, like a nested loop or multiple screens to one key field, etc. Once a Loop Screen is created, additional screens can be dragged into the Loop from the Outline in the right panel or internal screens can be looped by clicking the circular arrow icon at the far right of a screen box in the Outline.
All of these nuances will be documented in a Help Center article and I thank you for your patience!
Hi Brian Garcia,
Popping back in to share the link to the Help Center article, "Create an Advanced Loop in the Builder" that details how to create Advanced Loops in the new Advanced Form Builder. Please let me know if you have any additional questions!
