I notice that when I do a search, it needs to be full complete word or number in order to find it. For example, if I type a serial number of AHC1234 and someone wrote it as SQAHC1235, it won’t find it. Or typing “Consol” won’t find “Consolidated”. This applies to both the app and web versions of GoCanvas. It’s always been that way. But it could be better.

Thank you for putting this into the community. I'm not sure exactly where you're doing your search, but I know I'm always searching for partial words to try and find what I'm looking for, so I can see how this would be influential in GoCanvas.
Our team has been working on our search and filter capabilities and it is currently available within some sections of Work Hub. So hopefully in the area you're searching this isn't too far off for y'all!
Could you share where within GoCanvas you're struggling to complete these searches? Any information is helpful as I'll pass that along to our team for feedback.

Searching for text and number fields within both work hub and submissions and if I only have partial, system doesn't find it. One example would be a user somehow kept putting a space before entering a Vehicle Identification Number, when I tried to search by the number or the last 6 digits of that number as we do within our other systems, the submissions associated don't show up.
Have also had issues where we have all these customer feedback items housed and I want to search by a keyword, but search won't pull up the data so I usually end up exporting to excel for my search.
