Business insights - Controlling Which Excel Tab receives the Mapped Data

When you pull data from business insights it prompts

a) mapping sheet

b) Application (Data source)

C) Date Range

How is it deciding where the data gets sent to?? its overwriting tabs i was already working on. We need the option to send the data to a new blank sheet at the end, or append it to 'sheet3'. Whatever

am i missing something?

it should have: 

D) Data Destination

  • Hi Andrew.

    Business Insights will generally download the data to a sheet named the same thing as the app.  If no sheet exists with the name of the app, BI will create one.

    You can also use the option to Append submission data to existing sheet, or not, depending on your situation.

    Thanks for hopping in to help, Nathan! Andrew, when creating a BI map for the first time, I recommend pulling a report in an empty Excel book. You can create as many map sheets as you want for one one app but the data will always pull into the same sheet named after the app.
