Good afternoon, Wondered if anyone can help with a workaround for me!
We are a company that sometimes charges for equipment installed for specific reasons - I've just joined the team and I am revamping their GC system for them
As the company at the moment uses mirror fields to create a "mini invoice" which includes the site name/address etc and any equipment installed that is for a chargeable job, is there anyway in which i can hide the mirror fields from appearing on the PDF format if the job is categorised as a Non Chargeable job?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Many Thanks,
Spencer

Hi Spencer,
Great question, so you aren't able to add conditions to the Designer or standard PDF itself, but you can add conditions to the fields you're using. So if you're using these mirror fields for every field to create your invoice for a Chargeable Job a workaround is to have those mirror fields show only if it's a Chargeable Job. This way they won't show on the PDF if it's selected as a Non-Chargeable Job. These mirror fields however would also not show in the form itself if the job is Non Chargeable.
You can also have conditional screens so a certain screen will show up if you select Chargeable Job and this could have all of the mirror fields located there.
https://help.gocanvas.com/hc/en-us/articles/231963587-How-to-add-Conditional-Branching-to-a-Form This article has more information on conditions within the platform.
I'm not sure of your use case, but our standard PDF always has all of the information collected and this could be sent out, but there are multiple benefits to the Designer PDF so I understand if the Standard PDF is not an option.
I hope this helps!
