Edit newly published email.

I never email to let users know that a new version of a form is being published.  It usually is more confusing that it is worth and people think they need to do something or that it will change things.  New versions that I publish usually either make the user experience easier or enhance it in an intuitive way.

However, there are times that that is not the case.  In those times, just letting them know it is a new version is not helpful.

So, the feature I think would benefit everyone is to be able to edit the email to the users (perhaps even add images) so that they understand what is different, or how to utilize the new publication.

For example, the latest version I am publishing adds a reference table to our client list.  It is intuitive and helpful, because it reduces the need to spell names correctly, but it is not an exhaustive list.  I would like to simply let users know that they can manually enter a name by tapping the plus sign on the top of the screen or tapping and holding the open space on the field.  But I cannot do that.  We have enough users that collecting all the names (which change frequently) would not be a good use of time.

Tim is going to also add a feature request to choose to email every user attached to a form.  I love that idea (as a stand-alone idea apart from this one) because sometimes we just need to let them know a thing or two and that would be helpful.

  • Hi Alex,

This is a great suggestion. I can see how being able to update the content sent to you users when a new form is published would be super helpful.

I'm passing this over to our product team for review and will update here if anything changes!

If anyone else finds this helpful please upvote this post to help with movement on this feature.

    Thanks,
