When you first download GoCanvas on your smartphone or tablet, you must give GoCanvas access to certain permissions on your device, such as storage, location, gallery, and contacts in order to have the best user experience. The App will ask for them up front, but if you want to go back and change them after that initial prompt, you can.
Updating permissions on iOS
There are two ways to alter permissions on our iOS app. The first method involves going into the GoCanvas app directly.
Go to the login screen of the GoCanvas app and click the More icon at the top right corner:
From the More screen, click Settings:
then navigate to Privacy Settings:
Finally, click on each setting you wish to change:
Another way you can change permissions for GoCanvas on iOS is to go directly to the "settings" app on your phone, find GoCanvas on the list, and you should be able to alter the settings.
Updating permissions on Android
When using GoCanvas on an Android device, as you navigate through the app, as you need access to a permission, a prompt will appear asking you to accept the permission. You can, however, manually alter the permissions.
Go to your device settings and find the Apps section:
Find GoCanvas on the list of applications.
Enable the permissions you would like. Please note, you have to enable "storage" for GoCanvas to be able to function, and "camera" to use a photo field.
