We released our new GoCanvas Windows desktop client on June 20, 2017. It runs on any laptop/desktop/tablet device that is running Windows 8 and higher. There are some pieces of functionality not available on this client. Those features are:
Barcode Scanning - The Windows client does not currently support barcode scanning like we do on iOS and Android.
Payment - Our integration with Square is not supported. If you add a Payment field to your form, it will not work.
History for Multiple GoCanvas Forms - In the History section of the new Windows client you are not able to choose multiple GoCanvas forms under the Filter option. You can only choose one GoCanvas form to view your history for or you can choose all of them.

Cannot open program after downloading and installing on windows 8.1

Is it being worked on to allow barcode scanning on Windows devices?

We are not currently working on barcode scanning for the Windows client. There's a work-around here: https://help.gocanvas.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360000211647/comments/360000133988, which is also on the feature request for that functionality. I'd recommend upvoting that request so our Product Team knows how valuable this feature would be for you.
