We have a webservice API that can be used to programmatically extract collected information from GoCanvas. More can be read about the GoCanvas webservice API in the how to use webservices with GoCanvas article.
We have examples of how to integrate with GoCanvas using Java and .NET. In addition, we have developed an example SQL Server 2008 SSIS project that pulls from the GoCanvas webservice API. This SSIS project is meant to demonstrate how easy it is to integrate with the GoCanvas webservices API. Some benefits of using SSIS are:
- Data submitted from your Android can be download directly within SQL Server without using another or writing another program
- You can use SQL Server to schedule the SSIS package to run at specific intervals to download collected information from GoCanvas (for example: hourly, nightly, weekly)
- If you already have SQL Server deployed within your organization, there is no need to alter your server deployments to integrate with GoCanvas
The SQL Server 2008 SSIS sample project can be downloaded here.
