Yes! You may want a field in your form that isn't visible to your mobile users. Using the Mobile Visible property, you can choose which fields your users can and can't see when filling out a form.
This property can be set for nearly every field type excluding the following field types:
- Checkbox,
- Drawing,
- Payment,
- Photo,
- Signature, and
- Static Image.
Although Drop Down, Multi Choice, Barcodes, and other field types that require interaction can be made mobile invisible, that is not recommended in most scenarios because the user would not be able to interact with the field making it impractical.
This property is most useful on Calculations, Dates, Links, Mirror, Numbers, Static Text, Summary, and Time fields as the values may be used for internal use only or to automate something in the background of the form that the user does not need to see. This property is great for reducing confusion in the field so the user only sees the fields that they need to in order to complete the form and nothing they don't.
You can find this setting in the More drop down of your Field Settings.
Note: GPS fields can also be hidden but the setting is called Hidden and is located under the Field Type drop down in Field Settings.

Why is this option not available for Photos?
Instead of fighting with digital cameras and photo uploads in the field, I prefer this to be done in the back office through the web portal, but there is no need for the field users to see it.
Thanks.
Hi Mathew,
Could you submit this as a feature request? I think I understand your use case, and it would be great to get input from other users who might have the same needs. You can create a feature request here: https://help.gocanvas.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/new?community_post%5Btopic_id%5D=360000000247.
